BRIEF RESUME
Yunmook Nah received his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering at Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1986, 1988, 1993, respectively. He was a visiting scientist of IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in 1991, a special researcher of SNU RIACT(Research Institute of Advanced Computer Technology) from 1993 to 1994, and a visiting researcher of University of California, Irvine from 2001 to 2002. In 1993, he joined Dankook University, Seoul, Korea, where he is now a professor in the School of Electronics and Computer Engineering and the chairman of Computer Engineering Major at the School of Electronics and Computer Engineering. He was chairman of Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at the Graduate School, chairman of Department of Multimedia Information Engineering at the Graduate School of Industrial Technology, head of School of Electronics and Computer Engineering, and chairman of Department of Computer Engineering. He has published 10 books, and more than 120 papers in object-oriented databases, multimedia databases, multimedia data modeling, multimedia information retrieval and moving object databases. He was biographed in the Marquis Who's Who in the World 1998, the Marquis Who's Who in Science and Engineering 2000 and the Marquis Who's Who in Asia 2006-2007. His research interests include databases, database design, object-oriented systems, multimedia databases, and multimedia information retrieval. He is a member of KISS(Korea Information Science Society), KIPS(Korea Information Processing Society), KMS(Korea Multimedia Society), Korea Open GIS Association, IEEK(Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea), ACM, IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society.
